Steyr M1912 Stripped
This is my Steyr Hahn almost completely stripped. The trigger pin is too stiff to remove without extensive work, so I leave it in. My particular pistol is missing the safety and the recoil spring retaining clip. Also, the original trigger bar has been replaced at some point in its 97 year life with a hastily flattened and bent rusty nail (you can see it there right behind the barrel). I like to imagine that this was done in the trenches of WWI, but probably was not done until WWII or post WWII. This pistol is an Austrian contract pistol made in 1916, chambered in 9x23 Steyr, and has a very low serial number of 4164. In spite of all these missing parts and shoddy replacements, the pistol still functions effectively.
